Once again, GenCanters show that they are some of the cleverest and most creative gamers around. Our photo submissions ranged from showcasing games being played to giant dice towers to cats being cats to the GenCanterpillar on many many adventures.
THANK YOU to everyone who submitted a photo. This is truly my personal highlight of the UnCon.
This year we had two discerning guest judges helping select our winners.
- Chris M. (Or Moderator Chris as you may know him) from hilarious Flip The Table Podcast
- Erik Dewey of On Board Games Podcast, Second Rats Games, and Inverse Genius
Without further ado… our 5 #GenCantPic winners* of 2016:
But our selection was pretty tough this year! We want you to see some of our favorite pictures of 2016 were!
Below are our FINALISTS.
And finally, here are the SEMI-FINALISTS.
As you can see, so many phenomenal photos! And yes, selection is completely subjective. We hope, win or lose, everyone had fun snapping their GenCant experiences. We enjoyed seeing them. Thank you again everyone. GenCanters are the best!

Congrats to the winners!! I was shocked to find that my photo – featuring Morgan, he gets all the credit – made it as a finalist! Great contest! Shout out to Sooooooooz and all the GenCanters!
Congratulations to the winners! Us GenCant-ers have fun too!
Love these! Great job, everyone!
It’s still August 7th and the winners are already announced? It should be noted next year that the photo contest ends one day early.
Hi Brody! My apologies if there was confusion on this. The deadline was posted in the Photo Contest announcement post. It takes a lot of time to sort through the entries and so the goal of closing submissions Saturday night at 11pm is based on allowing more time to gather the entries, review, and select them.
Congrats to all! Some really great and funny pics!
All of these are great. Congrats to the winners.
Those are some great photos. Great job, everyone and thanks, Suzanne, for another great GenCan’t!
